Work with Pop Mela Choreographers experienced in making easy to learn custom choreographies for songs that are meaningful for your audience!
How it works:
- Select a choreography package based on the duration of the dance you wish to create.
- Provide the songs you’d like to have choreography for in the order notes (Spotify links + time stamps are preferred)
- Once purchased, you’ll be introduced to your choreographer via Email.
- Your choreographer will put together a tutorial within 2 weeks of receiving your song info
- The tutorials will be accessible on the Pop Mela dance platform, which provides you and your group proven tools for learning dances.
Custom Choreography purchases provide the option to have follow-up dance lessons with your choreographer via Zoom. Please note, choreographers set their own Zoom rates.
Frequently Asked Questions
Once you’ve selected the package you would like to purchase you will be matched up with a Core Instructor. You may also request a specific Core Instructor if availability lines up with your wedding/event timeline. All packages include an introductory call with the Core Instructor to discuss the songs, time stamps, groupings/formations, etc. Once these details are finalized, the Core Instructor will provide the tutorials (via PopMela) on an agreed upon date (minimum 2 weeks after concept is finalized).
Dealer’s choice! We recommend creating a medley with your Choreographer so that each song can feature different groupings/members of the clan. For newbies, you can have an all encompassing finisher with simple choreography so that anyone and everyone can hop on stage and feel comfortable participating in a huge group formation!
You can schedule zoom sessions with your Choreographer through their profile page on Pop Mela. Feel free to coordinate with the other members of your group to attend – group videos of these zoom sessions are great memories to show the bride and groom after!
While edits to the instruction cannot be guaranteed, you can work with your choreographer for guidance on modifying any of the steps they’ve created for your custom choreography!
You should have an idea of which songs you’d like to create choreographies for, who will be in the dance (solo, couple or group), and how long you’d like the performance to be!
Tutorials are available for you and your group for two months after your date of purchase. We recommend making your purchase 30-60 days prior to your big event to ensure access is available leading up to your performance!
